The DA have won the City of Cape Town, including Ward 61, and we are stuck for another 5 years with a councillor disinterested in this community.
Residents cannot accept the DA’s chosen councillor for a disastrous third term. Cadre deployment needs to STOP. People voted for the DA not Simon Liell-Cock.

It is unacceptable that: a series of complaints against DA Councillor Simon Liell-Cock from key Ward 61 organisations including both the Simon's Town and Ocean View Community Police Forums as well as Kommetjie Ratepayers and Residents Association have been lodged without success.

Two assault charges from members of the community have been laid against Councillor Simon Liell-Cock - one in 2016 and the second last weekend - this while representing residents of Ward 61.

The duty of the voters, and those who chose not to vote, is to hold elected politicians to account for the protocols that they adopt or decline to adopt.

The Democratic Alliance have a duty to listen to the voters.

This petition come from residents and ratepayers of Ward 61 who demand Councillor Leill-Cock be removed from his post and a by election called.  Unless the DA listen, our only option is to withhold rates.
