Support a New School for Goring

This petition had 582 supporters

A fantastic opportunity has been presented to the Goring community – a brand new £6.5 million primary school that will ensure the children now & in the future will be educated in the facilities they deserve. The performance of our current school is something the village can only be proud of, however the facilities are not. The school has a £1,000,000 list of repairs which it will never be able to afford.

This has been offered to us at no cost to the village whatsoever, as it will be funded through the development package presented by the school governors, Diocese and the McAdden/Hildred partnership (see the 'New School' page at
Goring Primary School
General information on the primary school; includes news letter, images and contact details.

This is an opportunity we simply cannot ignore!

The school community has been doing all it can to take advantage of this incredible opportunity by working with the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group for the last year to ensure the school was included. It is therefore a huge disappointment that the new school is not part of the current Neighbourhood Plan.

In addition to benefiting the future generations of children growing up in Goring, it will also provide a wonderful new resource for the whole community, with facilities available for a host of sporting and educational activities for everyone to enjoy, truly cementing the school's position where it should be – at the heart of our community.
