On May 10th, Representative Gipson made the following post to his Facebook:
"“Been a lot of press on Obama’s opinion on “homosexual marriage.” The only opinion that counts is God’s: see Romans 1:26-28 and Leviticus 20:13. Anyway you slice it, it is sin. Not to mention horrific social policy.”:
He also stated on the same thread:
"According to Leviticus 20:13, “If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.”
Rep Gipson is using this verse to state that he believes homosexuals should be put to death.
After UnityMs sent him a petition, he took down the posts but he refuses to apologize.
His flagrant disregard for the freedoms stated in the Constitution is horrifying. A person that so easily disregards the Constitution should not be allowed to hold public office.
Please help show Rep Gipson and other politicians that as Americans we refuse to allow a person that is leading this country to disregard the document that our country was founded on.
