We request that companies Google, Clarivate Analytics, and Elsevier include Linguistic Diversity Index in their databases (Google Scholar, Web of Science, and Scopus) and make it available in their user interfaces.

Linguistic Diversity Index (LDI) is described in this article:

https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.1177/21582440211009191

LDI of each publication should be added to that publication record in the database. Scopus and Web of Science should adopt LDI for journals as the average value of LDI for papers published in these journals in the current year. Google Scholar should adopt Linguistic Diversity Index for individual researchers as the average value of LDI of their publications, including LDI for single-authored publications.

Why is important to adopt LDI and what benefits it might bring to the society is described in the article referred above. We, who are signed below, think that encouraging linguistic diversity in references of academic texts is important. We want that companies making scientific citation databases adopt LDI for this purpose.
