The Tigray region in Northern Ethiopia is being subjected to a genocidal war led by the Ethiopian government, and we as Tigrayans don't feel like the Ethiopian flag represents us anymore.

It's the flag of the country that's massacring our people, raping our women, destroying our churches and mosques and committing the #TigrayGenocide, as such we feel like we need our own flag emoji.

Currently, Tigrayans are using the Vietnamese flag emoji which resembles the Tigray regional flag to a certain degree, but we want an emoji of the actual Tigrayan flag.
