J P started this petition to Google, Inc and

Local small businesses have NO control of the 3rd-party ordering links that appear on their Google My Business profile. This makes it so these 3rd-parties can siphon business profits off the back of these small businesses.

This is unacceptable. We need Google to stop this. A business owner should have the ability to remove 3rd-party ordering links from their profile without having to spend hours, days or weeks of communicating and tracking down these 3rd-parties and Google to remove them.

The links just appear on your profile and these 3rd-party ordering platforms just rake in the profits. A business should have the right to easily remove these links from their profile WITHOUT going through a tedious process to get them removed.

We need action GOOGLE, enough is enough.

If you are reading this, please vote, small businesses need your help against these BIG companies taking advantage of them. Most small restaurants are just trying to survive and they need every bit of their profits to make great food, pay their staff well and keep their door opens.

Small businesses shouldn't have to spend more than 2 seconds to uncheck or click a X to remove a 3rd-party link that appears on their Google My Business profile. Right now, those links magically appear on the profile and they have a LOCK next to them. Yes, a lock, Google actually makes it so the business owner CAN NOT remove those 3rd-party links.

One other thing to note, Google has direct relationships with these 3rd-parties. They are fully aware and have made deals to enable this, what is that? These 3rd-party ordering platforms can even place ADs directly on the Google My Business profile right by the Order Online button.

So, I ask you, do you think this is for the benefit of the business or Google and its Partners? Think about it this way, for a Google My Business profile to appear, you have to search for the company by name, this implies the customer knew what they were looking for. With that being said, Google claims they are about searchers intent, do you think it was the searchers intent to be bombarded with 14 different ordering options and ads from companies that are not the company they searched for?

Please vote to help move this change forward, give the sales power of the local small business back to the local small business. STOP Google and it's Partners from taking advantage of these businesses by giving preferential treatment to these 3rd-party ordering platforms.

Give the power back to the small business owner.
