Google are full of it. Nothing to do with privacy and everything to do with squeezing as many dollars out of people as possible. Hiding behind an excuse of privacy

If agencies can manage, imagine how tough it's going to be for small businesses... Our budgets often are just a few hundred $, so does that mean most of our clicks will be "insignificant"? Hope not! Not to mention that it is something almost impossible to filter negative keywords without the query report for small markets like LT

I'm a small business located in Nigeria and these insights are very important especially when we are trying to use the small amounts of money to target small niches local to my community, if Google makes this change I'm afraid targeting keywords without knowing specifically how much search volume it gets may mean that we will just be throwing money in the wind hoping that it generates results that aren't there in the first place.

Google Ads hiding search terms is very unethical. This makes it difficult to optimize my campaign, to find negative keywords and ultimiate delivery better quality leads to my clients. The cost of running ads has increased and I have no idea what I am paying for.

This is a terrible move for the small businesses that advertise on Google. We have been able to save several accounts from canceling their advertising by utilizing the search terms report to optimize their campaigns to be profitable. We have one account in particular that was wasting 90% of their ad spend on competitors terms irrelevant search terms before we utilized the reports to get rid of all the irrelevant search terms. Since this change we are now only able to see 30-60% of the search terms for our advertisers. That’s a ton of wasted money. It’s now closer to running ads on TV or Radio with very loose targeting by Google. We are exploring other channels now to test budgets on.

Use ClickGUARD.com to protect your Google Ads account from waste. 2nd. It's plain and simple that Google is in a position to and needs to squeeze revenue cash out of every advertiser at all possible costs even if it harms the advertiser. 3rd. More than 80% of G-Ads users have no idea how to properly use the platform, so pushing them to automation does TEMPORARILY benefit them but in the long run they will be screwed as things scale up.
