Announced on June 30th 2020 YoutubeTV would start charging an extra $15 a month for the inclusion of 8 tv channels, (a 30% increase) people disliked this and would like to "opt out" of this new addition to the platform. This brings to light a long plaguing issue of Cable/Streaming providers. People always have to pay for channels they dont want. People want options and should have the ability to pick and choose what is right for the consumer. 

In addition to this being a very obvious bait and switch on YoutubeTV's part they did this mid-pandemic while people are struggling with economic issues. There are legitimate reasons for why adding new channels costs more, however raising the cost of your services by adding stuff the customer didn't ask for or want added to their bill is wrong. The way YTTV announced this as "updated" pricing and already had a form ready on tv.youtube.com ready to handle issues with this new price is obvious they were aware that what they did is wrong.

By signing this petition you are in favor and support of Google and YoutubeTV creating a new billing structure that allows users to opt out of new channel packages they don't want while still keeping the base service at a fair price. If they do not complete this change before the new pricing takes effect then we (the undersigned) agree we will not pay for this service and we will cancel our accounts and take our business elsewhere.
