This petition is requesting the removal of the current Board of Directors for Golf Colony Resort X at Deer Track.  

The current board has failed to schedule annual meetings and hold regular meetings amongst themselves.  They also failed to disclose the date and time of the current meetings and have not presented minutes for the meetings.

When an annual meeting is requested the request is denied due to Covid.  When the request is made to hold it via Zoom, this request is also denied.  When the financials were requested it took multiple attempts over the course of three weeks.  The financials that were provided were incomplete and missing two years worth of information.  

Items needing attention and causing concern for members/owners:  Fresh paint and new carpet were budgeted for when the roof was in dire need of repair.  It has had issues with leaks into homes since 2019 which would be considered an emergency in some cases as there is mold in some units.  The furniture at the pool has been weathered and family members and residents have fallen on the ground. The umbrellas are not securely fastened down and have flown out of the table.  Those present safety concerns.  Lights around the property were out and it took four weeks to have them replaced.  There are additional items such as fixing a broken sprinkler head (which caused our water budget to be over for August and likely September as well), addressing broken spindles and handles on the staircases, and dying landscape.  

Please understand that this is to remove the board as a whole.  Several residents are new in their homes and would like to have the opportunity to vote in the their own board.  Not to mention the fact that the current Board's position and office has expired during the past two years.   It is also understood that these positions consume time from family and friends and require work.  It is not easy to be a member of the board but transparency and accountability is requested.
