At Goldsmiths, University of London, within the English Department, we have had ongoing strikes since 22nd November, 2021. As a consequence, we have missed many seminars and weeks of our education that we are paying for.

Therefore, we believe as students that we should not have end of year exams. It is not fair for us to be assessed when we have lost out on so many seminars and valuable learning time.

It is unfair that the students must work so hard for exams, when the lecturers have been on strike for as long as they have. Also, it is an unjust form of assessment of our performance for the year as it has been hugely and negatively impacted by the strikes. 

Please sign this petition if you think it is also unfair for the end of year exams to continue, so we can get the attention we deserve to have no exams and only be assessed via our current assignments.
