James Beck started this petition to Gold Coast City Council

The FLOW Development at Rainbow Bay is still in need of Development Application Approval by Gold Coast City Council.  See link below:

We seek the community to object to the approval of the development as proposed for three key reasons:

1) Traffic Safety impact - the current proposal seeks the driveway for the development to be moved from 1 Petrie St to Marine Parade.  This corner has already had one recent fatality, due to poor visibility entering Marine Parade and the the speed at which vehicles, skateboarders and cyclists come down and up(for vehicles) the hill.  If this new driveway/road access is approved, then any loss of further life can be attributed to CGCC poor planning.

2) Personal Safety impact - The proposed driveway will necessitate the removal of current Street light that provides lighting for personal security not only crossing the busy road at night but into the park and around the BBQ area.

3) Disrupt the natural viewing corridor of the headland - the development is seeking a relaxation of of setback from 6m to 4m - which will create a significant obstacle in the natural viewing corridor both up and down the Point Danger headland to Rainbow Bay.

Please sign this partition prior to the 20 July 2020 - so we can provide a submission to CGCC before the planned decision date of 10 Aug 20 - as detailed in the following application:
