Encourage Automakers to Support California's Improved Fuel Economy Rules

0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!

When the Trump Administration rescinded Obama's strong fuel efficiency standards, California and many other states chose to implement their own strong standards. The Trump Administration is now trying to strip states of their right to set standards.

CA Governor Newsom ordered that starting January 1, 2020, the state will only purchase automobiles from automakers supporting the CA standard.

Please support California's brave stance in fighting climate change by signing on to this statement:

"Dear Automakers

I support California's right to a strong fuel standard, and I ask you to support this right too.

A weak federal standard dramatically worsens our current climate crisis, and increases costs to drivers. As such, I will avoid purchasing a car from any automaker that supports Trump's attempts to stop states from improving fuel efficiency standards."

Automakers supporting the Trump Administration include: GM, Chevrolet, Toyota, Subaru and Fiat Chrysler, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, Isuzu, Maserati, Mazda, McLaren, Aston-Martin and Ferrari

Automakers supporting California's right to set a stronger standard include: Ford, Honda, Volkswagen, BMW, Tesla and Rivian.
