How much is your Water Bill per month? 

Do you know that you are paying ridiculous amount of monthly water bill?  

If you look at your Water Bill from GWR (Global Water Resources Inc.) There are many questionable fees, most likely you’ll see is a huge amount of “WaterWaste Basic Charge for $69.53” which is HIGHER THAN your monthly water consumption and A SEPARATE FEE of your monthly sewer fees. Now, if you don’t know, everyone in Maricopa are paying for this same amount of fee, ask your neighbors they have the same charge as well. Do you think that what you paid for monthly is fair enough? 

WaterWaste Basic Charge is not the fee on how many times you flush down your toilet, how many times you do your dishes or how much water you use because you have these grassy lawns or gardens or pools.

As per GWR, the said fee is for “Our base rate for waste water is $68 a month. Here in Maricopa we clean and recycle all the sewer water and use it as irrigation for common areas and to fill most of the lakes in the Maricopa”

Is the separate sewer fee that The People in Maricopa paid for not enough to help pay clean and recycle all the sewer water? How many lakes do we have? We don’t even have more than 10. How can this bill go so high without further explanation? How can the local government allow this to happen? Other communities such as Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Tempe, Phoenix, etc. through the help of their government, are not paying this huge questionable amount.

This is because GWR can’t explain to our community what this charge is for, this is because GWR is a privately owned company. This is the ONLY Water Company in this Community, and we The People of Maricopa don’t have a choice. 

But, We can be The Change, We can voice out our concerns, We can help each other specially during these hard times and bills are high and never resting.

By signing this petition, not only it will save our pockets but IT WILL HELP the Maricopa Communityto lower down our water bill. It will help the future generations who will live in this growing community.
