This act in itself prevents a generation from reaching their full potential because as Theodore Roosevelt once said, “the more you know about the past, the better prepared you are for the future.” This new sort of education is prone to breed ignorance on American injustice while also eliminating crucial role models for under represented groups in this Nation.

       The foundations of America were built on centuries of oppression. If it weren’t for the millions of people committing their lives to slowly dismantle this oppression whether it be the brutality of slavery or the unethical denile of human rights, we wouldn’t have as free of a nation as we do today.
