Take down an offensive, anti-homosexual billboard on I-75 in Adel, GA

This petition had 11 supporters

There is a billboard on the side of the hugely busy I-75 in Adel, GA that says "Homosexuality is an abomination". The Bluegrass church is not even in Georgia, it is in Kentucky. They already plan to put up many more around the nation. This billboard is the very roots of a hate message that will grow like wild fire if it is not stopped. It tells people that oppressing a group of people is ok because freedom of speech will allow us to, and shares a hate message that resonates painfully in the hearts of the GLBT community. Growing up homosexual in a Christian family, messages like this are why I have not set foot in a church for over a decade. We cannot silence the Bluegrass Church (first amendment) but we can pressure the company (insite mediacom) that is making money off this hate message to take it down. If Apple will remove the "pray the gay away" app from the app store, we can certainly pass a message to a billboard company that advertisements like this are NOT fit for billboards or anywhere for that matter!
