Keep our children safe

Keep our children safe
We, the residents of Woodmore Towne Center, are petitioning to have the City of Glenarden and Prince George County take action on improving the methods and measures of traffic safety to reduce the probability and severity of injury to road users including, but not limited to, pedestrians, cyclists, motorists, and vehicle passengers. Our community is highly populated with young children who are the most vulnerable for severe or fatal injury. This is also a major health concern as the traffic safety issues are preventing us from being able to walk or run as a mode of exercise and transportation.
The specific methods we would like employed are:
Stop signs at all intersections
Signs indicating speed limits
Photo enforced speed limits on Campus Way North, Geaton Park Place, Glenarden Parkway, and Sir Michael Place.
Speed bumps on Smithview Place
Intersection lights at the Campus Way/Ruby Lockhart roundabout
Stripped crosswalks on the streets leading to the clubhouse and playgrounds
