For the 2021-2022 school year, we want face masks to be a choice. This past school year was anything but enjoyable and we refuse to let that happen again. If students voices and opinions truly do matter, you as the School Board will take a step back and listen to our concerns and needs. After all, you are looking out for our best interests, right? Masks need to be a choice, whether that is the parents or students decision, not the school board. Between parents and students we have our own responsibilities to keep our own bodies safe and healthy. Believe it or not, some of our parents have been making these tough decisions for more than 30 years and some of them for 5-10 years, I’m positive they know what they are doing. It is only right for us to decide what is best for ourselves and our bodies moving forward. For so many of us, the benefits outweigh the risks and we are more then willing to deal with the consequences, if any, as they come. Once again, we do not want any mask mandates for this coming school year. Please listen to what we have to say since at the end of the day, we are the ones heavily affected.
