My father worked for the phone company for 45 years. Climbing poles in snow storms to restore peoples phone lines. Can you imagine not having phone service for even an hour anymore? His big retirement benefit after 45 years service was the insurance that the phone company was subscribing to and 30k in life insurance. Now that he is in his "golden years" and NEEDS the insurance coverage, they are canceling what is left of this benefit. They already canceled 2/3 his life insurance several years ago. He has bladder cancer and after March when "Qwest" cancels his insurance, will have no way to pay for his treatment. Please help me and my dad tell Qwest/CenturyLink that once they've given a retirement benefit that they can not take it away after the fact...Especially insurance.
