Emergency Glassboro Board of Education Meeting

Emergency Glassboro Board of Education Meeting

While we realize there is a bus driver shortage everywhere, the bussing for the first two days of school in the Glassboro School District has been completely unacceptable. This is not about the drivers, this is about the communication between administration and parents. This is about communication between transportation and the individual school buildings. We, the parents, want answers. We want a plan moving forward. We are demanding an emergency Board of Education meeting, BEFORE the regularly scheduled meeting on September 22nd, to address our concerns.
We have four year old, preschool students not arriving home until 6pm. We have intermediate school students leaving without being signed out and walking home to empty houses. We’ve had elementary students handed off to parents without a check of identification. We’ve had busses leave schools without ALL kids on board. This is unacceptable. We trust you with our most precious gifts, our children. This isn’t about a driver shortage. This is about communication! We deserve a response from the Board of Education. We deserve an apology, and plan from the Superintendent of Schools.
