Open the "Accessible" toilets in the track centre at sir Chris Hoy velodrome

Over the past month or so I have noticed the toilets in the track centre were closed, however, this was most notable at the recent Scottish youth and junior track championships where said toilets were actually blocked off! Firstly with a bin and a tensabarrier before someone added ping pong tables barriers and buggies. Riders need the toilets open as going to the toilet was quite a challenge as a long walk upstairs to get to the velodrome changing room which had one cubicle otherwise a walk to the cafe toilets would be required which isn't ideal in cycling kit during training and/or racing. This also meant adults had to go into the changing room while children (some as young as 10) were changing which is surely a risk to child protection. More than one rider has said they hurt themselves trying to gain access to the toilet as they couldn't hold it in long enough to get to the changing rooms. One rider who wishes to remain anonymous had to ride the youth A males 2km pursuit with a urine soaked pad in his shorts as he could not get to the toilet in time for his race.

However, it could also be claimed Glasgow life are breaking the law by refusing access to the toilets with such defences:

"B396 - Public use of Customer only Toilets Bill 2011

BE IT ENACTED by The Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Commons in this present Parliament assembled, in accordance with the provisions of the Parliament Acts 1911 and 1949, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. Offence for businesses to prohibit toilets only to paying customers"

Surely users of the track are customers and access to toilets is being refused.

I hope Glasgow life will take time to consider these issues with their toilet facilities, or lack thereof
