Beth Parker started this petition to Glasgow City Council

In Budhill around the square and shops there is a serious problem of people parking and leaving their cars there all day to use the the train station. A lot of these cars belong to people who stay within in walking distance of the station.

There is a car park located on the other side of the station for people to park and use the train and just because it's full people don't care and they will park around the square.

Over the years residents have continually complained about the lack of spaces for property owners and local businesses thus causing disruption to the businesses orders.

Also our services such as ambulances and fire engines to get by there is very little room which can be crucial time in saving someone's life. In the past these services haven't been able to get their vehicles past due to the cars parked all around the right hand side.

When the community is hosting events in the square the council won't even come out and cone off the space surrounding the square to make it a safe environment for the community.

Another issue in regards to the businesses is that if a delivery can't be made local businesses can be charged again to come out.

All the residents would like parking meters either put in or double yellow lines. Not only this but for community events for no parking comes to be put in place which the council has ignored. Parking meters would only be situated around the square and NOT for residents/business owners as they should be able to park freely outside their home. Also the same for the spaces outside the shops as people do need to park to pop in and out of the shops but their should be a time limit in place so people don't take advantage of not having to use meters.

The residents of Budhill have had enough and with this petition the residents group can take this to the council to hopefully have something done.
