The state of the roads within Glasgow City Council is nothing short of shambolic.Thousands of residents and visitors to Glasgow have put in claims for the damage caused to their cars due to the poor repair and maintenance of the road surfaces as shown in this group https://www.facebook.com/groups/144110224187005

Glasgow City Council will acknowledge these problems, and have an aim of getting them resolved within 60 days. However, that time frame is never met. There are road defects from last summer which have never been acted upon. Whilst Susan Aitken is the elected leader of Glasgow City Council, Annemarie O'Donnell is responsible for the council as a whole. Ultimately, the issue stops with her. I have correspondance from her indicating she would look into my concerns, thereby showing that she does have the final responsibility for this.

If Glasgow City Council cannot afford to repair these roads, that is due to mismangement of funds. The repair works that are carried out are sloppy at best. The residents and visitors of Glasgow deserve better, and a new Chief Executive of Glasgow City Council is required in order to ensure that the roads are safe for all involved.
