Bardia Public School is undergoing a multi million dollar upgrade to replace our existing school with a state of the art educational facility. This will increase the school's capacity from it's current 370 students to 1000 students!

Our new school has been described as a 'showpiece school for South-West Sydney' by NSW Education Minister Rob Stokes.

However, despite this transformation, our new school will have no air conditioning to allow our children to learn in a comfortable environment. Summers in Sydney's South West regularly get above 40 degrees which diminishes children's concentration and can cause heat related physical conditions.

Did you know that reading comprehension can begin to diminish as early as 28 degrees!

Our fundraising at the school have offered to assist with the cost of installing the duct work whilst the building work goes ahead but this was declined by the Department of Education.

Gladys Berejiklian has outlined money for air conditioning for all new schools but as ours is in the midst of being built we are no longer eligible!

This needs to be changed and we need your help!!
