At 10pm Friday 06/08/21 Woolworths Cecil Hills closed its store to the community to become an online hub. This leaves the local community members that rely on this store having to go to other stores nearby that are already overcrowded and most have all recorded Covid cases (Bonnyrigg, Carnes Hill, Greek Valley, Edensor Park). Given we are in South Western Sydney which is a hot spot why would they want thousands of extra people moving around into these other stores. How is this safe for our community? Not to mention the elderly that don’t drive and don’t use online, do they use public transport to go to these other stores and put themselves at further risk? This store needs to reopen and do what it was put there to do and service the local community.
