#StandByMe this Sunday in Martin Place

NSW Disability Advocacy Alliance

Feb 22, 2019 —

Join the hundreds of people with disability and supporters of the NSW Disability Advocacy Alliance in Martin Place on this Sunday (24 February) from 11am to 12pm, as we step up our campaign to secure long term funding for disability advocacy, information and peak representation services.

Be there early to catch music legend Mic Conway and his band warming up the crowd. We will hear from speakers about their experiences accessing disability advocacy organisations and politicians from across the spectrum talking about this crucial issue.

Politicians confirmed to speak (so far) are:
- Alex Greenwich MP, Independent Member for Sydney
- David Shoebridge MLC, The Greens
- Greg Piper MP, Independent Member for Lake Macquarie
- Paul Green MLC, The Christian Democrats
- Kate Washington MP, Labor Member for Port Stephens, Shadow Minister for Disability Services

This is also your opportunity to get a Stand By Me supporter t-shirt for just $10. Get in quick for these!

Registration is recommended so that we can quickly alert you to any changes should they occur. Visit the Stand By Me website https://standbyme.org.au/stand-by-me-rally - it will only take a second. The rally will go ahead, even in the rain - we will bring some umbrellas for you. If you'd like to register please

If you're tweeting about the rally, please use hashtags #StandByMe and #JustDoItGladys
