The NSW government is building the Beaches Link Tunnel

It is not acceptable to NSW citizens to have tunnel exhaust stacks from the Western Harbour Tunnel and Beaches Link placed near schools and residential homes.

We would also like all the stacks on this whole project filtered with the best available technology

Furthermore, the government is placing one of the stacks and its' huge ventilation plant at the end of Seaforth Schools' Oval where the children play and have school lessons outside. The stack will now rain pollution down on the children as they play and eat lunch.

As the ventilation plant and pollution stack is next to the school it is also in the middle of a residential area where the children live. Many peoples homes are impacted. The pollution will go over the whole area and float down to Manly.

We ask the government to not put a pollution stack in this location at Seaforth/Nth Balgowlah and to just have one central ventilation stack at Wakehurst Parkway, upper Seaforth. The government must ensure this one stack at Wakehurst Parkway Upper Seaforth is moved well away from peoples homes, a minimum of 600 meters would be acceptable.
