By your own admission, and based on the modelling you have released, our health services (nurses, paramedics, etc) are about to experience a “surge” in the need for their care.

Yet, these are the group whose budgets your government has continually cut, and whose pay rises you have consistently kept to a minimum. Instead you have relied on their dedication of care for their patients.

Now is the time to materially recognise this dedication, and the enormous effort that will be required by workers in coming weeks/months, with a minimum 5% pay increase, effective immediately.

Money should be diverted from politically-based grants, stadiums that will never be used during lockdown, and the bizarre Willow Grove “relocation”, to truly recognise & reward those at the frontline of this pandemic.
