With current situation of community transmission in NSW and major COVID19 outbreak in VIC, schools are still operating face to face learning with no possibility of social distancing between kids and teachers putting all of them in high risk and specially in homes where there are aged grand parents and more vulnerable people.

Currently, there are many parents who are working from home and are able to keep their children at home and carry distance learning until community transmission is fully controlled by NSW Health.

Could I please urge NSW Government to allow kids to choose distance learning as an option as it would definitely reduce the risk?

As an example, say a class has 30 students and if 50% parents agree To keep their children at home And choose distance learning then classes will have only essential workers children making social distancing easier for kids and teachers, reducing the risk.

Please allow parents and give us option for safety of community as well as our children.

 Thanks,

Vin Verma
