Give the people of Sussex details of proposals that will affect their NHS services
Why this petition matters

East Sussex Save the NHS Campaign wrote a letter to the Chair Of Sussex Integrated Care Board asking for information about any proposals that will affect our NHS services to be made public.
Integrated Care Boards were set up in 2022 by the Health and Care Bill. This Bill created another seismic shift towards the privatisation of our NHS. But unfortunately, and not unexpectedly our media failed to inform the population of just how this piece of legislation would affect their healthcare services and the lives of NHS staff.
Please make sure you are informed, here is a blog post that explains some of the implications of this legislation.
We sent the Sussex Integrated Care Board this letter after looking at the allowance that they are being given to run all the NHS services in Sussex this year. We do not believe they will be able to maintain our local NHS without cuts, reductions in staff pay or the introduction of charges.
We believe the public have a right to know about how they propose to manage the demand to fit their budget.
We also asked that East Sussex Save the NHS is allowed to participate in the Sussex Health and Care Assembly as a community organisation.
We sent this letter on 9 November 2022 but at the time of starting this petition on 29 Nor have we even received any acknowledgment of the letter let alone an answer.
Our letter was signed 32 individuals across Sussex. We are now settting up this petition to collect more support and place them under greater pressure to answer us.
