The Amazing Spider-Man is the black sheep of the three Spider-Man film franchises. This is mostly due to The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Its tonal inconsistency from the first film, the mishandling of its villains, too many characters, Gwen dying so early, and both a box office flop and poor Rotten Tomatoes score led to the franchise being canceled and rebooted into the Spider-Man we know today.

I think it's safe to say that thanks to Andrew Garfield's spectacular performance in No Way Home and the sudden surge in popularity of the Amazing Spider-Man franchise many would like to see a continuation of Andrew Garfield and Marc Webb's saga. Free from the failed first attempt that came before it. I believe a consistent tone and amazing writers that handle one villain at a time to properly define them before they make a big movie with multiple villains would make the TASM franchise just as popular as the Raimi trilogy.
