Ms. Highley is a new teacher to GCI this year. She teaches social living  hospitality, and a parenting course. She is a teacher who admires and cares for her students. She understands the way of society and things students deal with outside of school. She takes into consideration jobs, mental health, screen time, family/personal life, etc. She has conversations with her students to understand how they are feeling and thinking on certain topics. Ms. Highley is not a permanent teacher at GCI this year and her contract is up February 2nd, 2023. Everyone loves Ms. Highley, so our goal is get her a permanent job here teaching what she currently is. 

Students love Ms. Highley. The understanding and caring environment Ms. Highley creates makes a better learning environment.
