As a fan of Ice Cube whether it be his movies like Boyz N' the hood, Friday, and his involvement with Straight Outta Compton, his rap career from N.W.A, his solo career, and now the group Mount Westmore; it was dope to hear from the GOAT on the recent episode of Mike Tyson's HotBoxin' podcast. In the episode Cube was asked about Friday and if were ever gonna see the 4th movie, he responded saying; 

"I don't know, Warner Bros. are weird right now. I don’t know what they’re doing. They don’t know what they’re doing. We’d love to have it back. I think it’s going be close to a time when we get it back. So, we’ll either wait for that time, or we’ll keep trying to convince them that they need to let us control the movie. It’s my movie, but they have distribution control."

Ice Cube was then asked by Mike Tyson if he would pay for Friday's distribution Control to which he said;

“I ain’t putting shit up for it. Fuck no. They need to give it to me, and they’re going to make money. I’m not about to pay for my own stuff, that’s stupid. They need to do the right thing, get it to us, let us turn it into more money, and make the fans happy…We can do a lot with it.”

Let's face it Ice Cube is right when he says he owns Friday, he wrote the script for all 3 movies and without him it ain't Friday so it's time we speak up about it. Here's hoping with enough notice and signatures that we can pass Friday back to Ice Cube so he can do what he does great giving back to the fans, and with that get the long awaited new Friday movie after 20 years.
