The dress code at Helena High school is sexist and favors towards guys. Girls shouldn’t be sent home for showing their shoulders, stomachs, etc. Young girls are gone against every day when there are bigger problems they could be worrying about to help the school. It needs to be upgraded because many young woman feel targeted everyday. We get weirded out by the fact that grown adults are paying more attention to our body’s than we pay attention to each others body’s. Changing the dresscode would mean lots of things. It would be a big change for the young woman in the area. We wouldn’t feel so targeted. We could focus more on what we’re actually at school for, learning. Rather than be on our toes about if we’re gonna get called to the office that day for a shirt or our leggings.
