Girl Scouts need to reverse their massive fee increases
This petition had 91 supporters
Since last year, Girl Scouts USA has increased registration fees from $15 to $25 and skill patches from $2 to $3 each. If a girl wants to purchase a vest with the basic, recommended insignia, it will cost over $50!
Girls pay for their badges, patches and activities by selling cookies for countless hours. Moms and dads man booths to help the girls sell cookies for weeks and weeks.
Approximately 73% of a $4 box being used to support Girl Scouts. While fees are skyrocketing, less than 20% of the cost of a box of cookies goes directly to the girls' troop. A girl would need to sell almost 6 boxes of cookies to earn one tiny glue on patch.
Tell GSUSA that they need to put girls first and re-evaluate their budget sheet!
