Queen Mary hospital in Roehampton have failed an inspirational and brave patient called Sophie Payne.
Sophie wanted more than anything to get her life under control, and she had plans to start university in September. She was supposed to be transferred to a specialist personality disorder unit, but did not get the chance as she took her own life whilst being under the care of the hospital
Much more needs to be done to treat suicidal patients with respect and in a helpful way.
She should have been cared for and put on constant observation.
We can make a change by showing how many people feel let down, and demand an improvement in care quality for very high risk patients
