Hold Polluters Accountable-- Restore Clean Air to Our National Parks!
Waiting for clean air in our national parks? Don’t hold your breath.
National parks represent the best of America, our rich natural, cultural and historical heritage. Yet from Yellowstone to the Grand Canyon, our parks suffer from poor air quality that diminishes the experience of millions of park visitors each year.
This wasn’t supposed to happen. The 1977 Clean Air Act promised to restore clean clear air to America’s most treasured national parks and wilderness areas. But at the current rate of cleanup, it will take centuries to achieve natural air quality at many parks.
President Obama can restore clean air to national parks by closing loopholes that let polluters off the hook.
Urge the President to fix his administration’s clean air regulations so that national parks achieve clean air in our lifetime. Please act now! Learn more at npca.org/cleanair4parks
Clean air laws require the restoration of natural air quality in America’s most treasured national parks and wilderness areas. But loopholes in EPA rules are allowing industries to continue polluting park air for centuries to come.
Your administration can close these loopholes and secure pristine, healthy air in Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Great Smoky Mountains and other national parks within our lifetime.
President Obama, give the gift of clean air to our national parks – for present and for future generations. As the National Park System approaches its 100th birthday in 2016, can you think of a better gift -- one that will serve as your legacy?
