Rhode Island is, in my opinion, the best state in the US for a child to grow up, it’s safe, everybody knows each other, and we’re more of an extended family then a state. However us all being connected means that when one person is affected we all are recently I have heard multiple cases of corona virus that have directly affected people I know, and I’m sure a lot of teachers and students can agree that viruses spread very fast in our schools, I genuinely believe that it’s a matter of time before one kid goes undiagnosed and everyone else faces the consequences. I personally believe that me and my peers are quite a bit young to be worrying about dying of a disease relatable to a cold, And I can also  say that many of us still have living older relatives and younger siblings and it would destroy a lot of lives if one of these relatives with weaker immune system‘s caught it from the child because it spread throughout their school, as it’s a lot more likely for the relative to die from the virus. But all of that aside even me at 14 years old can say I’ve experienced too much and been through too much to be taken out by a Wanabee flu from China, so please let’s stop pretending this isn’t something we have to worry about, because sure this seems like an excuse to get out of school but if you were told that if we continue school right now that eventually students and family/faculty would be in mortal danger than would you still send those kids? I think with google classroom we have the technology to continue school away from risk until the virus is done with in our state, please sign this, it’ll change the lives of thousands
