Mel Gregory started this petition to Giles Hurley CEO Aldi and

Very recently we found out that Aldi were going to close our local store in the Bell Green area of Coventry, the reason given was that the store no longer met their requirements, they couldn't expand and are therefore choosing to close it down.

This store, despite being one of the smaller ones, is a busy store and is a necessity to the people in the area, there is nothing else close by.

Our area is in a deprived part of the city yet the council are still building new houses this can only be a good thing for Aldi as it will bring more custom.

A refurbishment is due in Riley Square which will attract more businesses and again, will be a huge boost for Aldi.

Closing our store is unfair just because they cannot expand. We love the store the way it is and Aldi will be a huge loss to us all. We ask you to reconsider.
