Reverse Gibraltar DPC decision for unsightly development on Devils Tongue

On December 12 2018, the Gibraltar Development and Planning Commission approved a 19 story development on the site of Devils Tongue, known locally as the site of the Audi Garage, Petrol Station, the Bahia Bar and the Churros shop.
Gibraltar residents on social media have been objecting to the development, with many observing that the modern futuristic design doesn't fit with the design of other developments in the area, with others disappointed that the view of the Rock from tourists arriving from the port area will be obscured.
The previous submission for a 16 story glass building, which was rejected by the DPC, had more support from the social media post with some suggesting the design should revert back to the one first submitted.
We would like the DPC to reconsider the approval and instead look to work with developers and planners to come up with a design that fits better with the area and doesn't restrict the view of the most famous landmark in Gibraltar.
