The primary reason behind the formation of toxic foam in Yamuna is high phosphate content in the wastewater because of detergents used in dyeing industries, dhobi ghats and households, according to officials.

The River Yamuna, the largest tributary of the River Ganga, flows through the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi and is considered to be the most polluted river in the world

Clean, healthy rivers reduce human health risk and improved quality of life. Less trash increase recreational activities along rivers— clean and safe walk and run trails for the community. As recreational activities increases, tourists will be attracted. Thus, affecting both the economy and well-being of the community.

Healthy rivers carry water to homes, farms, schools and businesses. Along the way they nourish entire ecosystems and provide important habitat for native plants and animals. Rivers, creeks and wetlands are the lifeblood of NSW

furthermore, I, a citizen of india would like to publish this petition for the greater good of the society and its value.  The individuals who sign this petition including myself will take a demand to the Government Of India and people of this city to take action towards the cleanliness the rivers and its pollution for a cleaner and safer living area
