First of all, the constitution of the country Ghana offers its citizens "Freedom of Speech" and "Freedom of Association".
The freedom of speech means also that citizens can express their thoughts and views on public issues and can also express their views on topics they deem fit or have the relevant knowledge or skill in.
The Freedom of Association offers citizens to either associate or disassociate with an idea, opinion, view, religion, etc.
I have noticed with discomfort a section of the Ghanaian populace who want to override and suppress the rights of some of us by abusing theirs. Counsellor Lutterodt is a renowned, intelligent, funny and knowledgable public Speaker and counsellor who has penetrated the minds and stirred up positive thoughts of many Ghanaians in and out of the country.
He is not your usual sweet talker who would spare the rod and spoil the child. He hits the core nerve of the problems we face within the socio-cultural space of Ghana.
I must admit, that it takes a good level of discernment to appreciate his thoughts and understand his views but at all times he has been spot on with his delivery. He is hated by those guilty and adored by change agents.
For most of us who as admonished by the President, want to be Citizens and not Spectators, we believe that Citizens like Counsellor Lutterodt MUST be offered even more platforms on the various media airwaves to speak to the minds of Ghanaians to affect and change behaviours for the good of our country.
I have noticed a petition created by a person asking that Counsellor Lutterodt be taken off the airwaves, I have therefore created a counter petition to show you that there are more discerning people who are ready to defend the right of citizens to Free Speech and to defend the good views of the Counsellor.
Please dismiss the other petition and support the good job the Counsellor is doing to help our nation Ghana.
God bless us all.
