Why this petition matters
In this difficult time of COVID-19 pandemic, IP university, Delhi is going to conduct end term examination for students of all semesters from 20th June which is against the guidelines issued by MHA. Also, students use public transport to reach examination centers which include taxis, metro, autos, buses etc. Who will be held responsible if any student is infected? Is conducting examinations more important than lives of students or their parents who are at greater risk of infection and everybody knows that the coronavirus is more deadly for older people. Not all students live in Delhi, they come from different states. Even Delhi has more than 100 containment zones and over 20000 cases of coronavirus. Delhi has sealed borders with the neighbouring states and going by prediction coronavirus will peak in june/july. Is conducting physical exams the need of the hour? Also, with little or no online classes and the syllabus not being completed, how are they supposed to conduct examinations thinking that students can learn everything by their own.
All the recipients of this petition are requested to kindly look into this matter from the perspective of the students and to arrive at a feasible solution. It is you who are to decide whether conducting examinations is more important than lives of students.
