The travel ban the USA has placed on the rest of the world has been there since March 2020. Families from all over the world are now suffering as they cannot see their loved ones. Joe Biden promised he would lift for those who are vaccinated and has gone back on this. Visas done through U.K. embassy, are $160 dollars or more. Visas are meant to take 8 weeks. A visa that molly Marie applied for (da-160) is taking her till next April to have an interview and then a further 180 days to see if it is accepted. The travel ban now needs to be lifted. Molly is not the only family suffering. The travel ban needs to be lifted so families can see each other again. How is fair that US citizens can travel in the world but no one can travel inside to the USA? There is no logic behind this as those US citizens could also be carriers of COVID. COVID is not going anywhere and it is time to open up the travel. 

families are suffering. Many people have had to miss weddings or funerals. Many are suffering because of this. We just want to be able to see our family we haven’t seen for nearly  over a year now. 

when travelling, you can ask people to take necessary precautions to make the journey safer. For example,  wearing masks on planes, asking people to take Covid tests before traveling to USA and quarantine for up to 14 days upon arrival. 

i am molly Marie. I have not seen my father for 3 years now due to Covid. The last I saw him was in 2019. I have been waiting for over a year for the travel ban to be lifted. I have been in contact with the embassy and filled out ds-160. Being told it was an 8 week wait, to then be told I can’t have an interview till 8 months time and then having to wait 180 days on top of that. Which brings me to 2023. I miss my father and have had to miss a funeral due to Covid. Why can US citizens go abroad and fly back, but people desperately wanting to see their families are not? The ds-160 visa cost my father $160 and cannot be refunded. I cannot apply for my interview date to be expedited. I am fully vaccinated and only vaccinated because Joe Biden promised to allow vaccinated individuals across to the USA. He has gone back on this word. It has began to affect my mental health and I know it is now affecting others and their wellbeing. I have started this petition in the hope it will do something to lift the travel ban. if we win- it will mean making a change to this barbaric travel ban. If we lose, all I can hope is that someone from within the White House sees this and at least tries to put it forward.
