Over the past year we have found the Loughborough Student Union (LSU) very unaccommodating to interests outside of mainstream club nights and Union events. We would really like this to change for next year.

Over the course of this year we have had several events cancelled by the LSU, due to them claiming that it wouldn't be profitable to them, when we know there is huge demand among our members for a venue for Rock and Metal music.

We want the LSU to reopen the Lounge as another Club Venue for alternative atmospheres and music. This would be a great venue to promote different interests, music, and culture.

As part of this, we were thinking this would be an ideal space to put on partnered nights, for example:

- RockSoc x ACS nights to promote BIPOC musicians in Rock and Metal Music.
- DJ x K-Pop to showcase Korean music and give DJs a different mixing experience.
