For years, Manchester United has been infected by a virus that has not only destroyed internal structures, but physically and internally rotted the whole establishment. What/who is the virus? The Glazer Family. Ever since their purchase of the club in 2005 for 790 million pounds, the Glazers have somehow managed to demolish the greatest club in the world. In fact, just two years into their purchase, a club that had stayed relatively debt free, found itself 660 million pounds in debt! To truly demonstrate how sickening the Glazer's ownership has been (football365.com statistics), let's analyze the finances. Right after the takeover, United found itself £550 million in total debt made up of £275million of hedge fund loans (14.25% interest rate) and over £265 million in bank loans. You'd think the financial situation would fix itself in the next decade and a half, right? Well... not when the Glazers are charge. 17 years after the takeover United are £526 million pounds in debt with a leaky stadium, terrible team, subpar training ground, laughable executives, and a grim future. Next, we have the Glazers and their dividend payments. Twice a year, Manchester United reward their shareholders for their excellent work in being the worst run club in the world! From 2016 to 2020, the Glazers received £20 million pounds in dividend payments yearly, with dividend payments continuing to this day. Shocking!

Now let's talk about executives and transfer negotiations. Following their takeover, the Glazers reformed the internal structure of United for the worse.  After the retirement of David Gill in 2012, Woodward, a banker who had aided the Glazers acquire the club, was promoted to CEO, personally taking charge of transfers and their negotiations along with Matt Judge. The result? A shocking excess of over £1 billion on flops for outlandish fees, broken down deals, failure of transfer windows, panic buys, sacked managers, ZERO Premier League Titles, and 5 seasons in the Europa League. However, once Woodward resigned following the European Super League scandal, the Glazers promoted another one of their puppets to take his place, Richard Arnold. In Arnold's first summer as CEO, he's managed to somehow live up to Woodward's legacy. Along with football director John Murtough, Arnold oversaw a three month long, aimless Frenkie de Jong pursuit just to end up with McFred in a shocking loss to Brighton. After being absolutely useless for the last two months, Arnold and Murtough have gone full Woodward panic mode and now look set to sign two world-class talents destined to bring United back to the top: Juve, ex-PSG flop Adrien Rabiot (with an attitude issue) for £20 when Juventus looked set to release him (great business!) and a racist, sub-par 33 year old footballer by the name of Marko Arnautovic (Stoke City reject) for £15 million pounds.

That's just the start. Last April, the Glazers, in typical American fashion, announced their leading role in the creation of the European Super League: a breakaway coalition of Europe's richest clubs, designed to ruin football through mimicking an American playoff format. Joel Glazer, not realizing how utterly stupid and disgusting his actions were, only apologized and changed course after United fans forced a derby against Liverpool to be postponed. What a great man...

Then we have arguably the biggest crime of the Glazer's murderous era: the slow destruction of Old Trafford and Carrington. With a capacity of over 76,000 and an inspiring legacy, Old Trafford stands, well stood, as among the world's most breathtaking stadiums. Now, the stadium is fraught with leaky roofs, a mice infestation, outdated stands, breaking parts, etc. On the other hand, we have the training ground. For a club considered to stand as one of the world's greatest, our training ground is on the level of a Championship club. Our facilities are not only severely outdated with the land around it remaining undeveloped, but lacking far below are rivals. City and Liverpool train in state-of-the-art revolutionary training grounds.

All in all, the Glazers have absolutely killed the ethos and legacy of this football club. Personally, I could go on and on about other actions worthy of life sentences committed by the Glazers, but that would likely take various years. Simply, us supporters are beyond taking apologies. We are disgusted, sickened, and done with how the club has crumbled in the last decade. The inspiring club we once were now struggles to qualify for the Europa League whilst chasing flops in desperation. Rabiot, McTominay, Maguire, and Arnautovic should be NOWHERE near Manchester United if we truly are rebuilding. Overall, if the Glazers truly care about the supporters and the football club, they would realize that selling the club stands best for both sides. Fans, it's time we truly unite to end this nightmare and enjoy the club we all love once again. Let's get the glazers out together.
