I am a employee of pirates bay water park and have been since summer of 2021. We started off this summer with new owners also know as great escapes and the people with them have completely ruined our beautiful family run park and drove it into the ground. They never had us anything we need for safety from the get go including whistles, staff shirts, walkie talkies, card readers and plenty more. On June 5th they fired our manager over us employed for the water park itself Shane Jenkins and we had a meeting about it the next morning at 9:35 on June 6th due to the fact that we all love him and some of us only came back to work for him. He was let go because he expressed the need for these things we didn’t have and the concern not only for his employees but for the guest. We all had a meeting and nothing changed so our staff agreed we would walk out and until Shane is back he is the man who keeps that park running and we need him. The park has been shut down due to all of us staff leaving until Friday, June 10th. Customers have been turned away and refunded because we all left and the park is so run down and unsafe with the management we’re under please sign the petition and get Shane, us employees and the park back.
