Get RTÉ to make a follow up documentary about Early Years Services in Ireland

On Wednesday the 24th of July 2019 at 9:35pm RTÉ aired a documentary going inside a Creche in Ireland called: RTE Investigates: Crèches behind closed doors.

This documentary highlights the short comings of poorly run early education services that belong to the Hyde & Seek creche chain. It is almost identical to the Breach of Trust documentary that was aired by RTÉ investigates in 2013. Both programmes showed failure to comply with regulations & focus in on the negative aspects of privately owned & run early years services in Ireland.

Although there is absolutely no excuse for the gross mistreatment or mismanagement of children, staff or families as shown in these programmes, I strongly feel that RTÉ should make a follow up programme highlighting the many high standard ECCE services that are operating in Ireland at the moment. The follow up programme should be made from the perspective of the many early education teachers & practitioners who work directly with children on a day to day basis but who do not get near enough recognition for the work that they do.

Parents, families, and the general public should be fully informed about the range of ECCE services available, including those operating at the highest possible standards.

I am seeking to get enough signatures to encourage  RTÉ to make a counter documentary that shows the positive side to the early education sector in Ireland.

Please sign if you support early education teachers & workers. Thankyou.
