what’s the point of math in highschool? the math taught in highschool is completely pointless and isn’t needed to survive in the world. math in elementary and middle school are acceptable because it’s simple, can be used in real life situations, and is a good skill to have. basic algebra and geometry are needed in life, but complex versions of algebra and geometry don’t even make sense and can’t be put to any real life situations. We need to put an end to painful studying and endless hours of pointless work. Students wastes hour and hours studying for math tests just to terribly fail. Nick Klisares, a student at southeastpolk highschool studied for hours for the math test he had and he achieved a score of 17%. He was found in the bathroom crying by student Tomas Loving. Rabira Dame, another student at southeast polk highschool achieved a score of 10% which is far from passing. Rabira now has to study even more and Rabira has other classes to study for as well so he now is behind not just on math several other classes.We need a change in math classes and justice served at southeast polk highschool
