With the current level of engagement amongst young Nigerians in the run up to 2023 elections and the current challenges most people are facing in completing their PVC registration, it only makes sense that INEC extends the online registration deadline. We are still a whole away from elections and INEC should be interested in getting as many electorates registered as possible.

Their are barriers to completing the data capture required to complete the PVC registration process in a lot of states with the main one being lack of availability at centres closer to where most people work or live. This can be improved and civil society can help INEC in this regard. The process or number of centres for data capture should be improved.
