Residents of Hope Street, Geelong West are currently being affected by large amounts of industrial noise. This noise is coming from an air compressor operated by a business at the rear of their properties.

At it's highest levels, this noise is reaching 84dB within the backyards of these residential properties. The result of the noise being generated is disturbing local residents, scaring small children and creating anxiety in pets.

As per the EPA guidelines, the business has a responsibility to make sure that any noise from their premises does not unreasonably impact the local community. Unfortunately, previous attempts to engage with the business producing the noise have been unsuccessful. 

If this business acts to remove the current noise levels coming from the rear of their property, local residents will feel as though the can enjoy time outside with their families. Residents will also be able to reside inside their homes without the frequent noise disturbance this business is currently causing.
